The AccuteX AH Series is purpose-built for drilling small, accurate holes in hardened steels, carbide, copper and other conductive materials. Whether you are producing injection mould venting holes, turbine blade cooling holes, wire-EDM start holes or general toolmaking features, the AH Series delivers the accuracy and repeatability the job demands.

Controller and Sparking Technology

Every AH Series machine ships with AccuteX’s high performance Technology Controller. The standard HP1+ Sparking Circuit and 5 μm XY linear scale resolution give operators fine control over spark parameters and real-time positional feedback. The result is consistent hole quality with minimal operator adjustment, even when working across batches of parts.

Motion System

High efficiency linear guide ways are fitted across the series, providing smooth, low-friction axis movement that contributes directly to positional accuracy and surface finish quality. On the CNC models, full multi-axis CNC interpolation enables programmed hole patterns and automated sequencing, while the ZNC models offer straightforward Z-axis numerical control for single-hole and simple-pattern work.

Automation Options

For shops looking to increase throughput without adding labour, the AH Series offers two key automation upgrades. The optional 12-station Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) allows the machine to cycle through multiple electrode sizes or replace worn electrodes without operator intervention. The optional 4 or 8-block Automatic Guide Changer (AGC) complements the ATC by automatically switching ceramic guide blocks to suit each electrode diameter. Together, these options support extended unattended machining cycles, making the AH Series a productive choice for repetitive, multi-hole applications.

Flushing and Breakthrough Detection

Flushing type operation is standard across all AH models, ensuring dielectric fluid is delivered effectively through the electrode tube to clear debris from the drilling zone. This promotes stable spark conditions and helps maintain drilling speed, especially in deep holes. An optional breakthrough function detects when the electrode passes through the workpiece, automatically stopping or retracting the Z-axis. This protects both the electrode and the workpiece surface below, reducing consumable waste and rework.

Range and Flexibility

The six-model range spans table travels from 300 x 200 mm on the compact AH-3R and AH-300R, through to 600 x 400 mm on the AH-600R. Maximum workpiece weight ranges from 150 kg on the entry-level machines up to 800 kg on the AH-600R, meaning the series can handle everything from small tool inserts to sizeable mould plates. Electrode diameters range from as fine as 0.1 mm to 3.0 mm standard, with an option to extend to 6.3 mm for larger hole requirements.
