The Accutex GA Series delivers the best cost-to-performance ratio in the Accutex wire cut EDM range. Designed for precision mould cutting and punch-and-die work within small to medium stroke envelopes, the GA Series combines a high-rigidity FEA-optimised structure, Accutex’s 100% in-house developed controller, SD Master stable discharge technology, and an optional linear motor system to deliver faster cutting speeds than comparable machines at this price point. Available in two models — the GA-43 and GA-53 — these are fully submerged, 5-axis machines built in Taiwan and backed by Accutex’s proprietary technology.

Feature Summary

The GA Series is the recommended starting point for manufacturers entering wire EDM for the first time, or for toolrooms that need a reliable, cost-effective wire cut EDM for punch and die work, small moulds, and precision stamped components. It shares Accutex’s core technology DNA — in-house controller, proprietary discharge circuit, and Fagor linear scales — at a price and size that suits a wider range of workshops.

Direct Force Structure
The GA Series is built around Accutex’s Direct Force concept, where the X and Y axis linear guideway blocks are kept in a straight line at all times. The working table is supported by robust casting bases. This combination, designed and validated through Finite Element Analysis, creates a rigid, stable platform that maintains accuracy under sustained cutting conditions and resists deformation from thermal and cutting forces.
In-House Controller — Every Component Designed by Accutex
The Accutex controller is not sourced from a third party. Unlike machining centres and turning machines that run Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi controls, wire EDM machines use proprietary controllers — and Accutex designs every element of theirs in-house, including the PCB, software, firmware, IC components, and linear motor. This gives Accutex full control over performance, serviceability, and future development. The GA Series benefits from the latest EtherCAT controller featuring a 21.5-inch colour TFT touchscreen, 64-bit industrial PC, Windows operating system, built-in CAD/CAM capability, and a power-saving generator that reduces energy consumption by up to 26%.
SD Master — Stable Discharge, Every Cut
SD Master is Accutex’s patented stable discharge board technology. By simplifying the generator and electric circuits to eliminate unnecessary power loss, it stabilises the discharge process across all cutting conditions — especially at high cutting speeds. The result is higher consistency, better surface finish, and faster throughput. SD Master is standard on the GA Series.
Five-Axis Submerged Cutting
Like all Accutex wire EDM machines, the GA Series operates with five axes: X, Y, Z, U, and V. The UV axes enable taper cutting — the wire tilts to cut compound angles, enabling die and punch work requiring draft angles or complex profiles. Maximum taper is ±15° at H80mm. Full submerged operation reduces wire vibration, enhances straightness, and improves surface quality throughout the cut.
Fagor Linear Scales — Full Closed Loop on All Axes
All GA Series machines are equipped with Fagor linear scales (Spanish-made, sub-micron precision) providing full closed-loop feedback on all axes. This ensures positioning accuracy is maintained regardless of thermal or mechanical influence on the machine structure.
Optional Linear Motor Upgrade
The GA Series can be optioned with Accutex’s in-house designed shaft-type linear motor and 0.2μm resolution linear scale. Unlike ball screw drives, the linear motor is a non-contact, magnetic system — no wear, no backlash, no replacement over the machine’s working life. Accutex has been producing linear motors since 2013 with zero fault history reported. Servo response is 8–10% faster than ball screw drives, which translates directly into better corner accuracy and higher cutting speeds.
Auto Wire Threading — Optional
The optional AWT (Auto Wire Threading) system automatically re-threads the wire if it breaks during unattended cutting. Using AccuteX’s patented annealing and wire-end shaping process, the system creates a strong, well-formed wire tip for reliable re-threading across all standard wire diameters from 0.1 to 0.3mm. This makes overnight or lights-out operation practical without an operator on site.
Rotary Table Option — 6th Axis
An optional rotary table package adds a W axis (6th axis) to the GA Series, enabling helical gear cutting, spinneret mould machining, and other compound rotational profiles. The rotary table is compatible with submerged operation and features 720,000 pulse resolution per revolution with no backlash.
Applications
The GA Series suits precision mould cutting within small to medium strokes, punch and die tooling, stamping dies, progressive dies, automotive precision parts, general engineering components, electronic terminals, PCD tool inserts (with optional PCD power module), and helical gear cutting (with optional rotary table).
