Feature Summary

The VB Series from Vision Wide is purpose-built for high-precision, heavy-duty machining. Its double column bridge-type design incorporates hardened box guideways across all axes, heat-treated to HRC 50 and hand-scraped for optimal accuracy. The machine’s structural components are made from Meehanite-grade cast iron, stress-relieved to eliminate internal tension and ensure long-term stability.

The Y-axis box way is positioned close to the spindle centreline, minimising deflection and thermal drift during intensive cutting. The bed features a box-shape with V-rib reinforcements, allowing it to support large and heavy workpieces without compromising accuracy. Twin hydraulic cylinders with pneumatic assistance balance the vertical axis, enhancing smoothness and control.

Standard features include remote monitoring software (except for Siemens controllers), coolant-through-tool interfaces, and spindle ring coolant systems. The VB Series is ideal for mould base machining, aerospace components, and other applications requiring high rigidity and precision.
