The STLR-400 from amace Solutions is a flagship metal 3D printer designed for industrial-scale additive manufacturing. Its standout feature is the dual 1000W Yb-fiber laser system, each operating independently across the full scan field. This configuration significantly increases build speed and allows for flexible material usage, making it suitable for both single-material and multi-material applications. The system achieves scanning speeds up to 9 m/s, with layer thicknesses ranging from 30µm to 100µm and beam focus diameters between 80µm and 120µm, enabling fine detail and high positional accuracy.

The build envelope of 410 × 410 × 450 mm supports large components or multiple nested parts, enhancing productivity and material utilization. This makes the STLR-400 ideal for full-scale production runs or prototyping of complex geometries.

Safety and operational efficiency are elevated through the automated powder handling system, which is fully enclosed to minimize exposure—especially critical when working with reactive metals like titanium or aluminum. Nanoscopic sensors monitor powder flow in real time, while the fast extraction system ensures quick turnaround between jobs.

The multi-blade re-coater, a patented feature, ensures consistent powder distribution and minimizes downtime during blade changeovers. Combined with VoluMelt™, amace’s proprietary high-productivity printing technique, the STLR-400 achieves faster build completion and lower cost per part.

For research and development, the printer includes a part volume reducer, allowing smaller builds with minimal powder usage—ideal for testing new alloys or process parameters. It supports a wide range of metal powders, including AlSi10Mg, SS316L, 17-4PH, 15-5PH, CoCr, 18Ni300, IN625, IN718, Ti6Al4V, CuCrZr, and H13.

The STLR-400 is powered by Materialise Magics RP software with a customized amace build processor, offering intuitive control and streamlined workflow. Its industrial-grade design ensures reliability, scalability, and ease of integration into existing manufacturing environments.
