Feature Summary

The GS Series occupies a specific and well-defined position in the Vision Wide range. Where table-moving double column machines like the SF or SM Series move the workpiece during cutting, the GS Series moves the gantry — keeping the table stationary. This is advantageous for large, heavy workpieces that are difficult to move at high speed without accuracy loss, and for long-travel profiles where the gantry-moving configuration offers a more compact overall footprint relative to the working area.

One-Piece Casting — The Foundation of GS Performance
The core design philosophy of the GS Series is structural integration. By combining the work table, columns, and bed into a single one-piece casting, Vision Wide eliminates the tolerance stack-up and relative movement that occurs in conventional bolted-column machines. This structural philosophy, combined with Pyramid-type weight distribution of the spindle, ram, cross-beam, and bed arrangement, creates a machine that remains stable and precise throughout demanding high-speed cutting cycles.
Direct-Driven Z-Axis
The Z-axis on the GS Series is direct-driven by servo motor, preventing the positioning error introduced by indirect-driven transmission mechanisms. This design reduces power consumption, improves Z-axis motion response, and contributes to the surface finish accuracy achieved after rapid cutting passes on 3D mould surfaces.
High-Speed Spindle for Mould and Aluminium
The direct-driven HSK-A63 spindle is designed for both precision mould steel cutting and high-speed aluminium material removal. The direct drive eliminates gear and belt transmission losses, producing low noise, minimal backlash, reduced vibration, and lower power consumption. Spindle speeds from 10,000 rpm up to 20,000 rpm as standard give the GS Series a wide cutting range across material types — from die steel at moderate speeds to aluminium alloys at maximum speed.
Vision Wide has demonstrated aluminium cutting performance of over 5,000 cc/min on the GS Series in aerospace structural applications, with feed rates of F24,000 mm/min and high acceleration capability for vortex machining strategies. Cutting depth of 70mm with 2X cutting efficiency has been validated in test conditions.
Compact Footprint, Practical Ergonomics
The GS Series is designed with practical shop floor use in mind. The low table height brings the operating zone closer to the operator, and the wider door width makes setup, fixturing, and workpiece loading easier on large components. The chain-type chip conveyor is positioned to clear iron chips efficiently without operator intervention during production runs.
