The King Rich MF Series are heavy-duty bed-type CNC vertical machining centres built for rigidity, long-term accuracy, and sustained production cutting. Manufactured in Taiwan, one of the world’s leading machine tool manufacturing hubs, the MF Series features Meehanite cast iron construction, Turcite-B coated box slideways, and King Rich’s in-house manufactured spindle and headstock assembly. Available in three models, the KR-MF660, KR-MF800, and KR-MF1100, these machines are a proven choice for toolrooms, engineering shops, and production environments that demand rigidity and reliability over the long term.

Feature Summary

The MF Series occupies a specific and important position in the King Rich range. Where the ME Series is designed for fast, light-to-medium cutting in a more compact envelope, the MF Series is built for shops that need genuine heavy-duty capability, machines that maintain accuracy under sustained chip load, hold tolerance on difficult materials, and support decades of production work.

Bed-Type Configuration for Maximum Rigidity
Unlike conventional designs, the workpiece is fully supported across the entire Y‑axis travel. This prevents bending when heavy parts are positioned off‑centre, maintaining accuracy under load.
Box Slideway Construction
The MF Series uses Turcite-B coated box slideways, not linear guideways. Box ways provide a far larger surface area of contact between moving and fixed components, resulting in superior damping, lower sensitivity to shock loading, and far better performance on interrupted cuts or when machining hard materials. This makes the MF Series appropriate for cast iron, steel, stainless, and similar demanding workpiece materials where linear guideway machines can suffer from vibration and chatter.
High-Rigidity Ball Screws
All axes are driven by high-rigidity ball screws, providing precise, repeatable positioning and consistent accuracy throughout the machine’s working life. Combined with the box slideway system, the MF Series delivers the long-term accuracy retention that production environments require.
Heavy Duty Spindle
King Rich’s in-house assembled spindle delivers 8,000 rpm through a BT40 interface with 20 HP of spindle motor power. This combination suits a wide range of production cutting applications — from roughing operations in steel and cast iron through to precision finishing work.
Automatic Tool Changer
The MF Series is fitted with a 24-tool arm-type ATC as standard on the KR-MF800 and KR-MF1100. Fast, reliable tool changes support efficient production cycles and reduce operator intervention between operations.
Spare Parts and Support Philosophy
King Rich’s approach to spare parts availability is a genuine differentiator in a market where many machine tool builders discontinue support after five to ten years. King Rich retains engineering drawings for all machines, enabling support for machines 20 or more years old. They also supply individual components rather than full assemblies, a significant advantage when a single worn component would otherwise trigger a costly complete assembly replacement. This philosophy reflects the practical needs of workshops where downtime is expensive.

The MF Series suits precision toolrooms, engineering workshops, mould and die operations, production machining of steel and cast iron components, automotive tooling, general engineering, and defence and aerospace subcontracting applications where rigidity and long-term accuracy retention are priorities.
