Feature Summary

The Morton FCL Series is built for demanding environments where precision and durability are paramount. The headstock features a dynamically balanced spindle supported by three precision bearings (two taper roller, one ball), housed in a stabilized, deflection-free casing. All gears and shafts are crafted from chromium molybdenum steel and precision ground for smooth operation.

The universal gearbox offers extensive threading capabilities, including metric threads and module pitches. The bed is a one-piece Meehanite casting with vibration stress relief, induction-hardened ways, and a removable gap bed for larger workpieces. Turcite B coating between the bed and carriage enhances wear resistance.

The apron includes automatic feed devices for both longitudinal and cross feeds, with forward/reverse control and overload safety. The carriage and slide system incorporates backlash eliminators, safety clutches, dual reading dials, and centralized lubrication.

EVS models feature an inverter-driven AC motor for infinitely variable speed control, allowing precise adjustments. This flexibility is ideal for varied materials and tooling setups.
