Feature Summary

The Jobber Series covers four compact CNC turning centres designed for precision chucking and short-to-medium component turning. All four are slant bed machines from one of India’s most established CNC lathe manufacturers.

J-300: Compact High-Speed Production Turner
The J-300 is the smallest model in the range. With a 500mm swing over bed, 320mm maximum turning diameter, and 300mm turning length from the chuck face, it is purpose-built for the fast, accurate turning of small to medium chucked components. A 4,000 rpm A2-5 spindle with 5.5kW continuous / 7.5kW intermittent power delivers excellent surface speed across a wide range of materials. Linear Motion guideways on both axes and a 30 m/min rapid traverse on both X and Z keep cycle times short. The BTP-80 8-station bi-directional turret provides fast, repeatable tool positioning.
Jobber Evo: SJE-06, SJE-08, SJE-10
The three Evo models share a common 550mm swing bed with 350mm maximum turning diameter. They differ in turning length and Z-axis stroke, progressing from 300mm (SJE-06) to 400mm (SJE-08) to 525mm (SJE-10) measured from the chuck jaw face. All three use an A2-6 spindle with 63mm bore and 51mm bar capacity, running to 3,500 rpm. Spindle motor power is 7.5kW continuous / 11kW at 15 minutes on Fanuc, or 9kW continuous on Siemens.
The step-up Z-axis structure is a defining feature. It raises and reinforces the Z-axis carriage geometry, improving rigidity under load and reducing deflection during heavy cuts. The heavy-duty hydraulic turret with 8 stations and 0.45-second indexing keeps production throughput high. The choice of LM or XL (hardened box way) guideways allows the machine to be matched to the cutting conditions and material types common in each workshop.
All Evo models include automatic centralised oil lubrication, a hydraulic power chuck, rigid tapping, programmable tailstock quill, drain line oil cooler, and MachineConnect software for machine monitoring and connectivity.
