Cast Iron Construction Built to Last

All structural components are manufactured from cast iron, machined to provide and retain high built-in accuracies — designed and tested to perform under very demanding working conditions.

Precision LM guideways and ball screws deliver higher rigidity and damping characteristics, maintaining precise workpiece geometry at high feed speeds and matching full motor power to cutting capacity.

High-Speed, High-Rigidity Spindle

A range of spindle options — BT-40, BT-50, and HSK A63 — supports a broad variety of applications, from high-volume production to precision die mould work, with speeds up to 12,000 rpm available as an option.

Fast, Reliable Tool Changing

Standard 24-tool twin arm ATC with options up to 40 tools, delivering efficient and dependable tool changes to keep cycle times low across high-volume runs.

Rigorous Quality Inspection Before Shipment

Every machine undergoes full geometric accuracy inspection using laser and ball bar testing, plus heavy cut and NAS cutting tests combined with parameter adjustment

Feature Summary

The MCV Series is Ace Micromatic’s core range of vertical machining centres, covering everything from compact, high-cycle-rate models up to large-format, heavy-duty configurations. It is the workhorse of the AMS product line — built for shops that need reliable, high-accuracy machining day in, day out.

Rigid Structure, Designed for Real Conditions
All MCV machines have structural components made from cast iron, machined to provide and retain high built-in accuracies. The machines are designed, manufactured, assembled, and tested to perform under very demanding working conditions. In addition to functional performance, ergonomics are given equal priority — optimum job loading height, easy access to the spindle, ease of chip removal, and maintenance-friendliness are all built in from the start.
Spindle Technology
MCV 450 models are equipped with a high-rigidity, high-speed spindle designed for a wide range of applications. AMS follows a stringent spindle assembly procedure, and all spindles are checked for run-out and vibrations before the machining test. Both BT-40 and HSK A63 tooling interfaces are available. The HSK A63 system offers advantages in accuracy, repeatability, weight, and fast tool change cycles — particularly suited to high-speed machining applications.
LM Guideways and Ball Screws
Precision LM guideways and ball screws offer higher rigidity and damping characteristics. They are essential for matching cutting capacity to the maximum power output of the motor, while also maintaining precise workpiece geometry at high feed speeds throughout the full range of models.
Coolant System
Through-spindle coolant increases tool life, allows higher cutting speeds, and clears chips during deep hole drilling. Two systems are available: a Grundfos Pump system at 21 bar and a Wanner Pump system at 50 bar. A large-capacity chip tray is standard — reliable, trouble free, and easy to maintain.
Automatic Tool Changer
The 24-tool ATC is standard on the MCV-450, with a 30 to 40-tool option available. A 20-tool configuration is standard on BT-50 variants. The twin arm system is designed for quick, reliable tool changes to support continuous production.
Automatic Pallet Changer Option
The automatic pallet changer system reduces unproductive time during machining. Machining can be carried out on one pallet while the other is used for preparation — seating and clamping of workpieces. Two configurations are available: linear pallet changer and rotary pallet changer.
Quality and Inspection
Machine geometric accuracies are fully inspected to assure the highest accuracy standards. A high-precision laser unit is applied for inspecting positioning accuracy and repeatability, and a ball bar tester inspects geometric error and ensures superior circular accuracy through parameter adjustment. Every AMS machine is subject to heavy cut and NAS testing before shipment, combined with proper parameter adjustments to guarantee the best possible cutting quality.
Automation Ready
AMS machines are built for automation interface of different types. With deep experience in machining solutions, AMS is capable of augmenting the manufacturing process with semi-automated and fully automated solutions. Options range from auto-unloading through to unmanned operations — providing enhanced productivity, output consistency, and reduced dependency on labour.
